Big Byte's Junior High program continues to expand. Our English program sets the standard in high-level English education, while our rapidly expanding French program brings classes
par excellence to a bright group of teenagers. We've got some great teachers to deliver these programs. And here's a chance for you to meet them...
From all over the world they converge, bringing stories of adventure and urbanity.
Teacher Andre
Andre's a guy who loves nothing better than the feel of the mountain under-foot or the wind streaming through his hair as he cycles his bike. Whether travelling through Japan or Ireland, hiking in Turkey or Taiwan, Andre is your consummate adventurer. And he brings that spirit of adventure into his classes too.
Teacher Christian
A new face in the Junior High program, teacher Christian is by no means new to Big Byte. He's probably one of the longest standing teachers in Taiwan. Christian brings a deep understanding of the English language to his classes, along with a passion for helping struggling students to improve, and a wisdom that enables his students to calmly overcome any hurdles.
Teacher Erin
Erin once taught classes in American high schools where she had to break up fights between students who carried weapons! Scary! She's a wonderful teacher and obviously a tough nut capable of handling difficult students. Luckily she won't be needing those skills at Big Byte where she's teaching the H1 class. These students are great kids, and they'll get loads of great English skills out of Erin as they explore novels through discussions, debates, and speeches.
Teacher Matthew
Next time you're watching CNN you might catch a glimpse of this guy's face. During the week, he's a teacher of young learners. At weekends he's an iReporter for the world-wide news network. Most recently he's appeared on CNN chasing typhoons in Taiwan. Taking an avid and very active interest in the world around him, Matthew brings a great treasure to all the students in his class.
Teacher Alex
Alex is a Frenchman who knows his
chat noir from his
chateau, and would be as comfortable ordering a baguette in the alleys of Paris, as ordering a milk tea on the side streets of Taipei. Bringing experience from many different corners of the Earth, he melds together stories of the world around and the French language to deliver interesting lessons to his Junior High French language students.
Teacher Antoine
Another man from Paris, Antoine is as warm as the sunshine on the
Costa del Sol. As a teacher he brings a great sense of fun and humour to his classes, attributes that are sure to have his French students smiling and chuckling as they make their way to higher levels in the language.
Teacher Rick
Well-reputed for his all round energetic drive in class, his great love of photography, and his ability to knock out the high score on any XBox Rick is a great teacher for teenagers. Ever boy-like, Rick is that great blend of enthusiasm and focus, making him an ideal teacher for students of Junior High age. He's a force of nature and he brings his students along with him on the ride.
Teacher Clark
Clark is a history-lover with an abiding love for movies. From an early age, Clark spent much of his free time studying medieval history and it fascinated him. He is equally interested in all things cultural, especially Japanese and Taiwanese culture. Teaching the H3 class, Clark mixes together his love of erudition with his interest in the quirky and unusual aspects of the world around us.
